Collection relating to the British Army and Vietnam War service of 22205506 / 311444 Warrant Officer Class Two Brian Dudley Tobin, Cyprus, Egypt, Vietnam, 1950-1955, 1964-1965, 1981-1982.

Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of documents, newspaper articles, a pay book and driver's licence renewal form related to Tobin's service in the British Army, with the Australian Army in Vietnam, and with the Australian Army Cadets. The collection includes a copy of Tobin's Certificate of Service, documenting his service in the British Army's Life Guards and Cheshire Regiment from 1950 to 1955 (which included deployments to Cyprus in 1951 and to Egypt from 1951 to 1954), a 1964 news article on the possibility of an Australian contribution to a Commonwealth force in Cyprus, and a 1965 article from Sydney's Sun newspaper on a confrontation between the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment and Viet Cong in which Tobin was wounded in the face by a bullet. Also included in the collection is Tobin's pay book from his service with the Headquarters 3 Cadet Group from 1981 to 1982.
