McKechnie, David (Lance Sergeant; b.1905)
Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX2150 Lance Sergeant David McKechnie, 2/3 Australian Company Service Corp, AIF. Consists of one certificate of discharge from the AIF, a brief postcard from Lance Sergeant McKechnie to his family written from Colombo, and a souvenir welcome home card with autographs on the back. The souvenir card is entitled "Welcome Home, Smoke Social", is addressed to 'Returned Servicemen' and produced by The Motor Transport Bus and Taxi Industry, dated 23 July 1946.
