Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 1903 Lance Corporal Walter Hugh Anderson, 4th Battalion, AIF. Collection consists of photographs and papers associated with the death of Lance Corporal Anderson, killed in action on 5 May 1917 at Bullecourt. Includes a telegram announcing Lance Corporal Anderson's death, a folder with photographs and papers relating to his grave site, a commemorative scroll, letters written by the Australian Red Cross Society, and correspondence detailing his death written by members of his unit.
