Studio portrait of 6859 Private (Pte) Harry Wilfred Palmer, 2nd Battalion. A factory hand from Paddington, NSW prior to enlistment, Pte Palmer embarked with the 22nd Reinforcements from Sydney on SS Port Nicholson on 8 November 1916. After being previously twice wounded in action, he was killed in action on 15 August 1918, aged 19, and was buried in the Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.
