Studio portrait of Second Lieutenant Charles Joseph Fox, 2nd Battalion Royal Fusiliers, son of Francis and Alice Gordon Fox of 'Ione' Naples Road, Mentone, Victoria. He was killed in action on 29 June 1916 at the age of 28 and is buried in the Auchonvillers Military Cemetery, France.
