Description
A souvenir card of the No 67 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps, of the operations which had as their objective the capture of Jerusalem, in Palestine. The card was designed and produced by Sergeant O H Coulson, Photo Section No 67 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps. Photos show:- 1. Jerusalem, the objective. 2. RE8 in flight. 3. Aerodrome. Coulson was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) for "distinguished service in the field in connection with military operations culminating in the capture of Jerusalem. Dated January 1 1918". A lithographic artist and photographer by profession, Coulson was appointed as an official photographer to the AIF, with the honorary rank of Lieutenant, on 11 November 1918.
