Description

A large crater in the middle of what remains of the Darwin Post Office and Post Masters residence, after the first Japanese air raid on 19 Februray 1942. The Post Master, his wife and daughter, and members of the postal staff, including four female telephonists and two postal officers were killed during the raid.
