Studio portrait of 6188 Private (Pte) Gavin Gordon Bulkeley Gavin, 26th Battalion. He and his brother, 6191 Lance Corporal (LCpl) James Tinnock Bulkeley Gavin, were both killed in action on 4 October 1917. They are buried in the Ypres Reservoir Cemetery in Belgium. Pte Gavin Gavin, aged 25, is buried in Plot VII, Row B, Grave 12, and L Cpl James Gavin, aged 23, is buried in Plot VII, Row B, Grave 3.
