A225883 Sergeant (Air) Peter J. O'Brien RAAF Loadmaster, accepts an offer from a young Bedouin to try out the comfortable seat on a camel at St. Catherine's Monastery southern Sinai. The RAAF Iroquois UH1H Helicopter in the background is A2-488. The ANZAC Contingent of the Multinational Force and Observers (ACMFO) was made up of Australian and New Zealand personnel which formed the Rotary Wing Aviation Unit (RWAU), flying RAAF Helicopters, which provided the airlift capability to the MFO monitoring the Egyptian and Israeli cease fire in the Sinai from 25 April 1982 to 17 March 1986.
