Studio portrait of 6046 Private (Pte) Walter Joseph (Brookie) Brookhouse, of Townsville Qld. Pte Brookhouse who served in the 25th Battalion was killed in action in France on 17 July 1918, aged 20. He was the son of Joseph Frederick and Hannah Mary Brookhouse. He is buried in the Adelaide Cemetery in Villers Bretonneux. (Donor N. Hill)
