The graves of 394 Lance Sergeant (L Sgt) Arthur Harding Carter, 33rd Battalion; 1505 Private (Pte) William George Bradford, 3rd Pioneer Battalion; 169 Pte Joseph Chandler, 44th Battalion. L Sgt Carter, stock dealer, of Uralla New South Wales, enlisted on 9 July 1916 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Marathon on 4 May 1916 for Devonport. The battalion moved to the Western Front, France, on 21 November 1916. L Sgt Carter was killed in action near Armentieres on 20 March 1917. He was aged 26 years. Pte Bradford, miller, of Albert Park, Victoria, enlisted on 21 February 1916 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Wandilla on 21 July 1916 for Plymouth, England. The battalion moved to the Western Front, France, on 24 November 1916. Pte Bradford was killed in action near Armentieres, France, on 19 March 1917. He was aged 22 years. Pte Chandler, bricklayer, of Highgate Hill, Western Australia, enlisted on 28 February 1916 and embarked from Fremantle aboard HMAT Suevic on 4 May 1916 for Plymouth, England. The battalion moved to the Western Front, France, on 21 November 1916. Pte Chandler was killed in action near Armentieres on 14 March 1917. He was aged 25 years.
