Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. April 1936. Beach Cemetery, Anzac Cove, after a Memorial Service held on the occasion of a visit to the area by HMA Ships Australia and Sydney on 29th/30th April 1936. This photograph shows wreaths laid from the two Australian ships and two Turkish wreaths in the centre. The Turkish wreath, second from the right, bears the words Istanbul Association For The Cultivation Of Fallen Soldiers Graves. (Donor Department of Defence, Melbourne)
