The grave of 169 Trooper (Tpr) Marshall Vivian Henry Jury, 1993 Private (Pte) Henry James Partridge and an unknown British serviceman. Tpr Jury, a stockman from Yeronga, Qld prior to enlistment, embarked with A Squadron, 2nd Australian Light Regiment from Brisbane on HMAT Star of England on 24 September 1914. On 25 August 1915, aged 29, he died in Malta of wounds received in action at Gallipoli. Pte Partridge, a native of Bristol, England, was an engine driver from Carlton, Vic prior to enlistment. He embarked with the 5th Reinforcements, 14th Battalion from Melbourne on HMAT Hororata on 17 April 1915. On 25 August 1915, aged 30, he died in Malta of wounds received in action at Gallipoli. All three men are buried in the Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.
