Description
The grave of 1944 Private (Pte) Herbert Thomas Parker, 22nd Battalion and two unidentified British servicemen. Pte Parker, a labourer from Monbulk, Vic prior to enlistment, embarked with the 3rd Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Anchises on 26 August 1916. After serving at Gallipoli, he was evacuated to Malta where, on 24 November 1915 aged 27, he died from dysentery and was buried in the Pieta Military Cemetery.
