The graves of 2015 Private (Pte) Robert Edward Rockliff, 11th Battalion, 2009 Pte Harold Rainey, 10th Battalion and an unidentified British serviceman. Pte Rockliff, a compositor from Perth, WA prior to enlistment, embarked with the 5th Reinforcements from Fremantle on HMAT Hororata on 29 May 1915. Whilst serving at Gallipoli he was wounded in action and evacuated to Malta where, on 4 August 1915, aged 27, he died from his wounds. Pte Rainey, a mason from Scotts Creek, SA prior to enlistment, embarked with the 5ht Reinforcements from Adelaide on HMAT Hororata on 20 May 1915. Whilst serving at Gallipoli he received a bomb shrapnel wound to the head and was evacuated to Malta where, on 7 August, aged 23, he died from his wounds. All three men are buried in the Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.
