Description

A view of the NSW School of Gunnery. Lined up in front of the shed, left to right are: either the barrel of an RML 80 pounder Mk1 or a SB 68 pounder gun on a garrison sliding medium wood mount against the shed on the left; the first of the wheeled guns from the left is probably a Maxim .303 inch Machine Gun on a Travelling Infantry Pattern Carriage; the second is probably a 3 Barrel Nordenfelt Mk1 .45 inch, also on a Travelling Infantry Pattern Carriage; the third is probably a 9 pounder muzzel loading gun on a field carriage; and the last is a Q.F. Nordenfelt 1 3/4 pounder gun on a Travelling Infantry Pattern Carriage. In the front are two SB 24 pounder smooth bore guns on garrison wooden mounts. Note the cannon balls on the front corners of the wall.
