Truran, William Howard
Description
Collection consists of two items relating to William Howard Truran, and one item relating to his son Howard S Truran, who was a child during the Second World War. The first item is a two page original handwritten letter dated 10 October 1916 and sent from Flanders, written by 2713 Private William Howard Truran to his parents. The second item is an original Statement of Service dated 21 November 1945, certifying that William Howard Truran had served in the rank of Peace Officer in the Peace Officer Guard in Western Australia from 1942-1945. The third item is an original sketchbook containing coloured illustrations by Howard S Truran when he was aged 10-15 years old, during the time of the Second World War.
