Able Seaman Radar Plot Warren McDonald of Coffs Harbour, NSW in the Operations Room of the Daring class destroyer HMAS Vendetta. He is at the console of a Type 975 radar set plotting a surface contact. This sensor has a 3 cm wavelength and it is used for surface navigation including blind pilotage. The ship was serving in the Far East Strategic Reserve (FESR).
