Adelaide, SA. 14 March 1942. Troops of the 7th Australian Division receive a welcome from the people of the suburbs of Adelaide as they pass through on their way to Adelaide from the docks after having disembarked from His Majesty's Transport (HMT) Orcades on their return from the Middle East. Some people are waving flags from an embankment including a young girl waving a pennant with `AIF' on it.
