Description
The original grave of 359 Trooper (Tpr) Edward Thomas Reynolds, 5th Australian Light Horse Regiment. A miner from Charters Towers, Qld Tpr Reynolds was also a champion boxer prior to enlistment and embarked from Sydney on HMAT Persic on 21 December 1914. On 21 July 1915, aged 25, he was killed in action and was buried at Chatham's Post. Following the Armistice, his remains could not be located and he is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial.
