WA. Paybook photograph of WX687 Private Horace Harry Sadler, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Sadler, aged 31, died as a POW on 20 April 1945 after being captured defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion. He was the son of William and Sarah Sadler, of Victoria Park, WA. He is buried in the Durnbach War Cemetery, Germany, Section 4, Row B, Plot 2.
