South Vietnam. November 1970. A brief meeting for two brothers serving in South Vietnam with the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF). Explaining the main armament on an armoured personnel carrier (APC) is Captain Rod Earle, 27, of Kellyville, NSW (right), who has been in Vietnam for only a few weeks. Taking it all in is Lance Bombardier Greg Earle, 22, of Asquith, NSW. Captain Earle, a Regular Army Officer, is serving with B Squadron of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment. Brother Greg, a National Serviceman, is with the 4th Field Regiment, an artillery unit. He has only a few day left in Vietnam after serving for ten months.
