Bombay, India. 25 December 1916. Patients and staff in one of the wards of the Victoria War Hospital decorated with Christmas decorations. The large hospital was staffed by members of the Australian Army Nursing Service (AANS) whose patients included members of the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force and captured Turkish prisoners, as it was close to the docks. On the day this photograph was taken new eighty surgical cases arrived at the hospital.
