Description
Bolton's Ridge Area, Anzac Area (Gallipoli). c. 1915-06. Elevated view looking south from fortified Anzac positions over the trenches to the water of Brighton Beach towards Gaba Tepe. The location is probably Chatham's Post or Bolton's Hill at the southern end and the right flank of the defences. Note the depth of the trenches, the tunnels and the soldier in the bottom right of the image walking amongst the dugouts. (Donor J. Hesselschwerdt)
