Description
Includes typescript manuscript entitled "History of the 1945 Australian Services Cricket Team" by Squadron Leader S.G.Sismey OAM (Retired) and printed by Flying Officer Grant C. Pinder (Retired). Traces the events leading up to the formation of the Australian Services Cricket Team in 1945, gives brief biographies of the team members and description and scores of the matches played in England, India and Australia. In addition there is a typescript copy of Joint Directions to the Australian Services Cricket Team on Embarkation for India and Australia, a copy of newspaper clippings of the 50th anniversary reunion of the team in 1995 and two laminated copies of cartoons from newpapers c.1945.
