A reassuring thought for soldiers of 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), who were attacked at Fire Support Base (FSB) Balmoral, was the presence of 54 ton Centurion tanks. The tanks' heavy guns pounded an estimated enemy battalion as it attempted to overrun the Australian area.
