Hall, Richard Bulmer (Lieutenant, b.1886 - d.1964)
Original letters and three photographs of Lieutenant Richard Bulmer Hall, 11 Workshop and Park Company, Royal Australian Engineers to his daughter, Hilda. The letters cover the period from 1941-1944 when Lieutenant Hall was posted in a number of locations within Australia, including Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. Mention is made of the physical conditions, organisation and work of 11 Workshop and Park Company and the death of his brother Major Norman R Hall, Royal Australian Engineers in 1943 but the bulk of the correspondence covers Lieutenant Hall's advice to his 21 year old daughter on career, choice of partner, marriage and other social and domestic issues which were of concern to his daughter living in the family home while her father and two of her brothers were in the services.
