Description

Bound, typed and illustrated manuscript: "Anzac Beach, Gallipoli 1915 - A Beach Landing Officer's Account"(24 pages), by Commander Charles Cabry Dix RN, who was Beach-Master at Anzac beach and Cape Helles. Dix describes the landing at Gallipoli and activity on the beaches. The manuscript includes electronically-scanned excerpts of 15 original letters written by Dix to his first wife at various times during 1915. Dix was evacuated as a casualty on 2 August 1915.
