Kanuk, Kurdistan. 1919-08. Stopping for a rest approaching the top of the pass above Kanuk are members of Major General Nightingale's Column (Nightcol), Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force. No. 14 Station, `D' Troop, 1st Wireless Signal Squadron, was half-way down the far side of this pass when it was ordered to re-ascend and pass messages for the Column to headquarters in Mosul.
