Korea, c. 1950-10. A convoy of military vehicles makes its way across a pontoon bridge that spans a wide river. The jeeps and trailers in the convoy belong to the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), while the truck bearing white star insignia is a US Army vehicle. The jeep passing the convoy in the other direction has the sign 'Military Police' written on its front. Set up on either bank of the river are crossed pieces of wood (right) between which heavy ropes are extended and to which the pontoons are attached by other ropes in order to prevent them from floating away downstream.
