Description
Preliminary thesis titled `Vietnam Veterans' Welcome Home Parade and reunion - Sydney 3 October 1987 - a study of a ceremony and its' origins'. Discusses the lack of recognition given to veterans when originally repatriated, psychological effects, treatment of National Servicemen, and describes the planning and execution of the 1987 Welcome Home Parade which consisted of a dawn service, a march, multiple reunions, and a concert at the Domain. Also mentions preliminary steps taken for establishment of a National Memorial in Canberra.
