Manuscript compiled from the writings of Stanley Sadler. Describes service of Stanley and brother Charles, including enlistment and training in Australia, with 2/2 Independent Company, No.8 Section, C Platoon, Details experience in Portugese Timor, including recreation in Deli, Japanese invasion, patrols and ambushes, arrival of 2/4 Independent Company, and relations with natives. Also briefly mentions return to Australia, and experiences at New Guinea and New Britain.
