Description
Copy of speech ordered by Lt-Gen Sir J. Maxwell (Commanding the Forces in Egypt). Regards `disgraceful' behaviour of some Australian and New Zealand troops during a riot which occurred in Cairo on 31st July 1915, and complaints of assaults by troops on locals. Culprits are berated for tarnishing reputation of fellow soldiers and country.
