Korea, 1950-10. A convoy of military vehicles, most of them belonging to the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), makes its way across a temporary bridge built across a river. The convoy contains trucks, jeeps and Bren gun carriers. At centre is a black staff car with a white star on it, signifying that it is an American officer's vehicle. A substantial Korean town stands on the slope rising from the far bank of the river. The bridge has been built by constructing a projecting piece of land out into the water and bridging the remaining short interval to the other bank with metal tracks lain over wooden beams. (Donor I.
