Description

Probably Ujina, Honshu, Japan, 1947. A group of shabbily-dressed Japanese men sits in a row on the ground outside a barracks building, while they use chopsticks to eat their lunch from dixies. The men may be former prisoners-of-war (POWs) who are passing through the Repatriation Centre at Ujina. They are wearing Japanese Army caps. (Donor I. Robertson)
