Collection relating to the South African (Boer) War service of 1546 Private George Ernest Bunting, 5 Victorian Mounted Rifles, South Africa, 1902.

Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of a notebook Bunting maintained between 5 January and 23 April 1902 during his service with the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles in South Africa. The notebook contains brief, daily entries about his experiences, the weather and the movements of the unit during the final months of the war. Bunting also records his journey home to Albany via sea during March and April 1902. The notebook also contains notes about Bunting's pay and spending, a list of presents, details of other servicemen, and sketches of maps, churches, and a cemetery.
