Left to right, back row: 404232 Pilot Officer (PO, later Squadron Leader) Richard Charles Burke, 404228 Sergeant (Sgt, later Flight Lieutenant [Flt Lt]) Roy McDowall Beattie (lost on operations over Borneo on 2 July 1945), Rick Girdler, Sgt Johnnie Hobbs, Sgt Bob Howsan, 404182 Sgt (later Flying Officer [FO]) Harold Fawcett McKay, Sgt John (Jack) Morris and Sgt Jack (Joe) O’Brien.
