Description

Certificate of service, newspaper cuttings, telegrams, diary spanning April 1940 to January 1941, kept by unknown author. Describes movements of HMAS Sydney from Australia to Alexandria, also around Libya, Malta and Crete. Diary mentions air raids, bombardments, engaging enemy ships, and movements of other Allied ships including HMAS Gloucester and HMS Ajax. Diews died with the rest of the HMAS Sydney crew when it was sunk by the Kormoran in November 1941.
