Dunk, Roy J (Corporal)
Description
Photocopied typed account of the Battle of Beersheba by R J Dunk of the Anzac Mounted Division. The account, seems to rely heavily on the published works of others. It runs to 23 pages and appears to be unfinished. It discusses the effect of Allenby on morale, role of Chauvel, Turkish defences, importance of its water springs, the attack, charge of the 4th and 12 Light Horse Regiments and the taking of the town, and the effect on the whole campaign.
