Description
A group of Australian soldiers collecting and loading into horsedrawn carts bricks and masonry from the debris and ruins of bomb damaged buildings to use for road and railway ballasting. The limbers and drivers are from the 6th and 7th Australian Infantry Brigade. They are carting bricks back to Cafe Belga, on Dickibusch Road, for construction of horse standing and roads through same for the four battalions of the 6th Brigade. These were built by 6th Field Company Engineers around 17 to 25 November 1917.
