Description

A large tank situated at the rear of a hydrolysis plant where nerve agent was destroyed by members of the United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) under the United Nations (UN) mandate which required the destruction of everything related to chemical warfare. The tank held the product accumulated after the reaction of caustic soda liquid with the nerve agent. After a week the fluid was pumped into an open pit filled with limestone blocks.
