An Thoi, Vietnam. 1975-04. An Thoi, on the island of Phu Quoc, was temporary home to thousands of refugees from the fighting which brought about the collapse of the Republic of Vietnam in April 1975. RAAF Hercules flew in food supplies throughout the final weeks, using the airstrip in the foreground. Some of the vessels which brought refugees from Da Nang lie in the harbour.
