Newton, John (Jack)
Description
Two books of poetry written/compiled by Mr Newton which describe his life during World War Two and post-war. The poetry deals with themes such as the bad conditions soldiers had to endure, the cavemen of Tobruk, being evacuated from Tobruk, the constant problem of flies, fleas and sand getting into everything, being wounded, his life after the war and the post-war torture that the veterans have to endure.
