McAlpine, Isabel Williamson (Staff Nurse, b.1879 - d.1952)
Description
A collection consisting mainly of letters and postcards written by Staff Nurse McAlpine to her mother and sisters. The letters written to her sisters address them by their nicknames of Bubbie (Veronica), Clau (Claudine) and Ec (Erica). The letters describe in detail her nursing service with AANS and in British Red Cross Hospitals in Alexandria and Salonika. The collection also contains a ration book, newspaper clipping, and a well detailed photo album.
