Description

St Eval, Cornwall, England. 1943-10. An airman cleaning a newly fitted Leigh Light on a Liberator bomber aircraft of No. 53 Squadron RAF Coastal Command. The Leigh Light is a powerful searchlight which throws a beam for a considerable distance, of great assistance in hunting U-boats at night.
