Description
Titled `Prelude, Fugue, and Variations: Some Letters of a First War Army Chaplain'. Letters from a young army chaplain to his teenage girlfriend during the First World War. The author uses the letters to detail the relationship of her parents separated by war. The letters bridge the gap between Chaplain Tom Rentoul and Ivy Comben during 1916-1917 and form the basis for a life-long relationship.
