Manuscript titled `A History of the Soldiers and Nurses of Stanley and Hurdle Flat in the 1914-1918 War'. This is a compilation of extracts from Beechworth Ovens and Murray Advertiser newspapers, mainly 1914 to 1920, concerning local enlistments and other community activities, welcome home and peace celebrations, erection of honour rolls, opening of Soldiers' Memorial Hall in 1956, and the effect of war on local community.
