Description
Fire Support Base Coral, Bien Hoa Province, Vietnam, 13 May 1968. The dead bodies of several North Vietnamese Army (NVA) soldiers lying on the ground in front of the gun position of No. 6 gun, 102 Field Battery, 12th Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery (RAA), at Fire Support Base (FSB) Coral. The soldiers were killed the previous night when the FSB was attacked by troops of the NVA's 7th Division. This position was temporarily overrun by the NVA and the 105mm M2A2 howitzer was seriously damaged by a satchel charge and was withdrawn for repair.
