Description
Laayoune, Western Sahara. The Swiss Medical Unit's compound, a contingent provided to MINURSO (United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara). On the right hand side are demountable containers equipped as surgeries, emergency rooms and wards, and on the left are containers utilised for administrative and communications personnel. In the background are two Moroccan Tropospheric Scatter Antennas which were not operative, and two radio masts.
