Diary related to the Second World War service of VX5354 Gunner Keith Lindsay Lewtas, 2/2 Field regiment. This diary, written in a upside down Jewish diary, between 25 October 1941 and 26 August 1942 mentions: his surveying duties; a gathering he has with other soldiers from Maryborough; mentions of significant events in the war as they are heard and his opinion on the events; his evacuating to 7th Australian General Hospital; the training he does; the move to Colombo; a duty tour of Ceylon; the return to Australia and his leave in Australia.
